Privacy Policy
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how Rational Studio (“we”, “us”, or “our”) handles information when you use Transora: AI Translator (“Transora”, the “App”).
Transora provides text translation, voice translation, camera/text recognition, conversation tools, phrasebook features, translation history, favorites, offline language models, and advertising-supported features.
2. Information We Process
Text and translations
Text you enter for translation is used to provide the requested translation. The core translation feature is designed to use Google ML Kit on-device translation, which processes translation text on your device rather than sending the text to Rational Studio.
Transora does not require an account, and Rational Studio does not operate a server for storing your normal translation text.
Voice input
If you use voice translation or conversation features, Transora requests microphone access so your speech can be converted into text. Speech recognition is provided through speech-recognition services available on your Android device. Depending on your device, Android version, selected recognition service, and its settings, recognition may occur on-device or may be processed by the recognition service provider.
Rational Studio does not intentionally record or store your microphone audio on its own servers.
Camera and selected images
If you use Camera Translator, the App requests camera access to capture text for recognition and translation. If you select an image from your device, Transora accesses only the image you select through the Android photo-selection flow where supported.
Text recognition is designed to use Google ML Kit on-device processing. Rational Studio does not intentionally upload or store your camera images or selected gallery images on its own servers.
Locally stored App data
The App may store the following information locally on your device:
- translation history;
- favorite or saved translations and phrases;
- recent language selections;
- theme and App preferences;
- onboarding status;
- downloaded language models or model-management information; and
- advertising frequency or consent-related settings where required.
You may remove local data using available in-App controls, by clearing the App's storage in Android settings, or by uninstalling the App.
3. Advertising and Google AdMob
Transora uses Google AdMob to display advertisements, which may include banner, interstitial, app-open, and rewarded advertisements.
Google Mobile Ads SDK may automatically collect and share certain information for advertising, analytics, measurement, security, and fraud-prevention purposes. Depending on your device, region, consent choices, and SDK configuration, this may include:
- IP address, which may be used to estimate general location;
- device and app identifiers, including advertising-related identifiers where available;
- app interactions such as app launches, taps, and ad or video interactions;
- diagnostic and performance information such as startup time, hangs, crashes, or energy usage; and
- information used to provide, measure, secure, or personalize advertising where permitted.
We may use Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) or other Google-provided consent tools to request or manage advertising consent where required by applicable law.
4. Third-Party Services
Transora may rely on third-party services, including:
- Google Mobile Ads / AdMob for advertising;
- Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) for consent and privacy choices;
- Google ML Kit for on-device translation, language identification, and text recognition;
- Google Play services for certain model delivery or Android service functionality where applicable; and
- Android speech recognition and text-to-speech services for voice features.

5. Permissions
- Microphone: used when you choose voice or conversation translation features.
- Camera: used when you choose camera-based text recognition or translation.
- Internet / Network access: used for advertisements, consent services, model downloads, and features that depend on network-enabled system services.
Transora does not require contacts, call logs, SMS, precise location, or broad file-storage access for its core translator features.
6. Offline Translation and Model Downloads
Transora may download language models to your device to support translation and offline functionality. These models may use device storage and may be downloaded or updated through Google services.
Downloading a language model does not mean that your translation history is uploaded to Rational Studio.
7. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal translation content.
Information may be processed or shared with third-party service providers only as necessary to provide advertising, consent management, speech services, security, diagnostics, model delivery, or other App functionality described in this policy.
We may also disclose information if required by law or legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of users, Rational Studio, or others.
8. Data Retention
Translation history, favorites, preferences, and similar App data are generally stored locally on your device until you delete them, clear the App's data, or uninstall the App.
Data processed by third-party services such as Google AdMob or a speech-recognition provider is subject to the retention practices of those services.
9. Your Choices and Controls
- deny or revoke microphone and camera permissions through Android settings;
- delete translation history or favorites using available App controls;
- clear locally stored App data through Android settings;
- manage advertising/privacy choices through available consent or privacy options;
- reset or manage your Android advertising identifier where supported; and
- uninstall the App at any time.
10. Children's Privacy
Transora is a general-purpose utility App and is not specifically directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly request children to create accounts or directly submit personal information to Rational Studio.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so we can review the matter.
11. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to the App's functionality. However, no electronic transmission, device, or storage method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
12. International Processing
Third-party service providers used by Transora may process information in countries other than your country of residence, subject to their legal obligations, contractual safeguards, and privacy policies.
13. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when features, legal requirements, or third-party services change. The updated policy will be posted with a revised effective date.
If Transora later introduces cloud-based AI translation or another feature that sends translation content to a remote service, this Privacy Policy should be updated before that feature is released.
